Our Facility

With the expansion of the speech and occupational therapy programs, Gallien Therapy added a second location to house these therapies.  The former German Community Center was purchased in 2018.  This 3,000+ square foot facility offers spacious treatment areas including a pediatric gym and a backyard play area.

Our Services

Pediatric Speech and Language Therapy

Is your child struggling with speech? Take action now! Addressing speech and language disorders in early childhood can be crucial to establishing foundational communication skills before school.

At Gallien Therapy, we truly understand your child's communication difficulties. We offer assessment and therapeutic solutions to identify and treat their difficulties.

Pediatric Speech and Language Therapy look at communication areas, including receptive and expressive language, articulation, fluency (stuttering), feeding/swallowing, and pragmatics. Gallien Therapy's pediatric program works with children 3-18 to improve overall language skills. Our goal is to increase the child's understanding and enable them to successfully express their wants and needs in all activities of daily living. Pediatric therapy also focuses on safe and sufficient swallowing to reduce any signs or symptoms of choking or distress when engaged in meals.

Adult Speech

Gallien Therapy offers its patients over 30 years of experience in adult rehabilitation services. Over the past two decades, they have helped hundreds of community members overcome the devastation of communication and swallow deficits after illness or injury.

Gallien Therapy works with each patient to reach individualized communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. In addition, our Speech-Language Pathologists help them achieve the most significant amount of independence.

Following a thorough evaluation, our specialists determine appropriate therapeutic interventions and work with patients to help them regain the ability to express and understand wants and needs at simple and complex levels. In addition, our staff allows speech clarity, improves cognitive functioning (i.e., problem-solving and memory), and assists patients with swallowing disorders.

Occupational Therapy focuses on helping people achieve independence in all areas. In pediatric occupational Therapy, occupations refer to all the activities that occupy and give meaning to a child’s life, such as climbing, catching a ball, writing their name, cutting with scissors, or tying their shoes. The occupational therapist evaluates the child’s fine motor, visual perceptual, and sensory processing skills. Therapy sessions use play to help children improve their skills for tremendous success at home, in school, and on the playground.

Gallien Therapy’s occupational therapists work with the child and their family to help the patient become independent and function successfully in everyday life.

Our occupational therapists can help your child in the following areas:

 Coordination and motor planning
